  • Overview

This session seeks to address healthcare needs of culturally diverse communities which are not yet fully understood nor met.

Part of this growing advocacy supports the term "cultural humility" to be used in place of cultural competence to describe continued learning and efforts taken to understand, advocate for and facilitate the representation of marginalized communities.

In order to meet the challenge of staying current while also increasing awareness of changing terminology to ensure appropriate cultural sensitivity, this program will provide a starting point for the pharmacy team to better meet the needs of patients in underserved and disadvantaged communities.
